"Finally, the rumours about Apple launching a phone is true. With a retail price of USD499, this gadget is a combination of ipod and a phone. It comes with a 4Gb of memory, supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology and can detect location from Global Positioning System satellites. It also can send and display e-mail and text messages. Apple is partnering with Yahoo Inc. on Web-based e-mail and Google Inc. on maps.

With the launch of iPhone, Apple is now an electronic company and no longer a computer company, experts says Apple may soon rival Sony is every segment, from Audio to Digital Cameras."
