C/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC
Open log file with wordpad & type in under the existing text 'www.rad.msn.com' close & save changes to the document.
Hey disco, no more ads, it's replaced by a messenger logo.

this works for me... in the Version 2011 (build 15.4.3502.922)
