"In an effort to consolidate various messaging into one location, I’ve started using Trillian Pro to keep track of my contacts and manage my IM. One issue I ran into was that by default Trillian will display new mail notifications in popup toast if the server supports it. I’m using my Gmail/Gtalk jabber account, so every time I received a new message in Gmail, Jabber would pop up an annoying message.
