I am new to Skype and I have just spent several hours trying to do one very simple thing. When I began using the account I had a few friends and family on my list, but there was another woman whom I did not know listed six times. In the modern police state that we all live in the West where the state can imprison or kill us at will just for having the wrong friends, I do not want to operate an account with a lot of stray names on my friends list. Over and over I found ways to add accounts and contacts but never a way to delete anything. There appears to be no easy way at all to edit ones list of associates. Furthermore there is no way to find any advice from Skype. It now does not like my password, and when I ask to have the proper one sent to my email, it never comes. Now after what I have found on the web concerning the many ongoing investigations resulting from fraud in Skype accounts, I will probably go back to iChat and let my few relatives using PCs call on the phone.
