Mess.be has a nice collection of officially licensed games for MSN and Windows Live Messenger. Note that many of these games are normally not available for people living in certain regions of the world but Mess.be allows you to play them anyway.

Clicking the picture or play now button on Mess.be's Games Page will open a window asking to select the contact you want to challenge (works fine with Internet Explorer ). You must be logged into MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger.
