"AOL recently launched a new version of its instant messaging application, AIM 6.5 for Windows. Regrettably the new client still doesn't support any networks other than AIM (which is why we typically recommend Pidgin, Adium or the like), but it does add features that allow you to stream your buddies’ non-DRM-protected music.

AIM Tunes, as the new plugin feature is called, lets you listen to your buddies’ music over the web for free — basically a private, streaming radio station, no extra software required."
